"Alli Cost came into our lives when our daughter was about a year and half old. Alli became a light of hope for us during a very difficult time. Doctors and other therapists told us that they did not believe Sophie would ever crawl let alone walk. Sophie had very low tone and was also very fearful of movement. Instead of getting stuck in these words of what people believed Sophie would never be able to do, Alli instead poured her time and energy into getting to know Sophie and finding ways to motivate her to move her body. Alli worked with a quiet confidence about her and my daughter instantly felt at ease in Alli’s arms and with this trust we saw Sophie begin to move in a way we could have never imagined. Alli broke things down in an extremely practical way and found ways for Sophie to build strength in her body without her even realizing. We were in awe each week that passed as we saw Sophie building on what she had learned with Alli the previous week. Alli never lost sight of our goals and dreams for Sophie and was always thinking of creative ways to help Sophie progress forward. Alli helped Sophie learn to crawl and later walk. She did not blink an eye and told us she always knew Sophie was capable of this. We always think of Alli and could not be more grateful for the gift she gave to Sophie and our life. Sophie would not be where she is today without Alli’s magic hands, creativity, and profound ability to see her and all she was capable of doing!"

"Alli has been working with our daughter, Maggie, for nearly 7 years now, and we cannot sing her praises enough! Having been a part of Maggie’s development from a very early age, Alli has utilized her distinct, vast skill set in order to meet Maggie where she is- only on a broader developmental basis, but also in a daily setting that is flexible and dynamic. Having a child with unique needs, we have experienced a variety of therapies from various providers that follow a fairly “formulaic” methodology. With Alli, we have been able to participate in an application of techniques that goes beyond one single “category” of support (i.e. OT, PT, ABA) and allows the experience to embrace Maggie’s needs and goals holistically. Not only is Alli extremely well-educated in a vast array of modalities, but she is also intelligent and creative in her application of this knowledge. Her integration of technology and highly motivating elements (for Maggie, this includes visual and audio components on the iPad) embraces a forward thinking view of therapy that truly meets today’s children where they are. In addition to her expertise and innovation, Alli truly cares. She has been a valued part of our family as we grow, adapt and learn from our daughter’s specific needs. Her ability to convey complex therapy strategies to us in a language that is comprehensive but simple to understand allows us to carry on her work with Maggie on our own, in the home and the community. Outside of this all, she sees our child as a unique person, with individual thoughts and feelings, and honors that in a way that is compassionate, playful and genuine. All of these elements combined make Alli a truly distinctive leader in the field of Occupational Therapy and beyond."

"Working with Alli was life changing for my daughter and our family. Alli approaches her work as an OT not just to focus on fine motor and play skills but to address the needs of the whole child. Alli become a trusted though partner for various challenges we faced with feeding, emotional regulation, developmental milestones, and more. She became a therapist to my husband and I just as much as she was to our daughter. We love Alli's approach to working with children which is prioritizing sensory needs and safety. Feeling safe as a child is foundational to progress and Alli ensured our daughter always felt safe so she could progress both physically and emotionally. Alli truly listens to parental concerns, prioritizes goals, and helps reframe every challenge into something that feels manageable and achievable. She's also helped decipher feedback from other therapists and doctors into digestible information with clear next step."

“As someone with cerebral palsy, I've worked with several occupational therapists over the years, but Alli is by far the best. She not only made me feel safe during our sessions but also provided homework that smoothly fit into my life and is now just a habit. She is creative and makes new ideas easy for me to understand. She has truly transformed my ability to move better and with exponentially less pain. Alli is an exceptional therapist; working with her has had a profoundly positive impact on my life. I am forever grateful for how she helped me improve my quality of life. ”
